There’s a lovely lady at my work who is obsessed with her cats. When she pulls out the photo album for the seventy-eleventh time the universal groan is not only audible, it has a physical manifestation.
I had a vision one day, after proudly displaying photos of my baby carrots, of the people around me doing the universal Shudder of Horror when they see me coming with my camera phone, and I vowed to myself that I wouldn’t put them through that anymore. Or myself – nobody wants to be a pariah!
And so the Crazy Garden Lady blog was born. I can be as green-fingered and as eccentric as I want on here, and babble on as much as I fancy, and I will never see the look of animal panic in my friends’ eyes when they find themselves cornered with me and my phone photos!
I love my garden. The growing of Things fascinates me. There is a massive world of knowledge out there just waiting for me to soak it up and put it into practice. I have no idea what I’m doing, as I’m a complete amateur, but I can experiment to my heart’s content.
And I get to wallow around in the dirt.
